Everything Mic Night keeps — your favorites, your singing history, and your party queue — is stored locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage. None of it is uploaded, synced to a server, or shared with us or anyone else. We don't operate a backend that receives this information, so we have no copy of it and no way to see it.
If you delete Mic Night from your device, this data is deleted with it.
Mic Night is a songbook and a queue manager — it doesn't host or stream video itself. Every song in Mic Night's catalog is pre-matched to a karaoke video ahead of time, so when you pick a song, Mic Night plays it directly in the official embedded YouTube player inside the app. There's no live YouTube search while you use the app, no YouTube API key for you to set up, and Mic Night never opens the YouTube app or a browser to play a video.
Mic Night uses YouTube API Services. By using Mic Night's playback features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and YouTube/Google's handling of data during playback is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
What the API integration touches, concretely:
To remove data Mic Night stores on your device (favorites, history, queue), use the clear options in Settings or delete the app. Because we don't use Google sign-in, there is no Mic Night access to revoke on your Google account; if you ever want to review third-party access to your Google account generally, visit your Google security settings.
Mic Night doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children, so there's nothing to disclose or protect beyond what's already described above.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at the same location. Given how little the app does with data, we don't expect this to change often.
