Privacy Policy

Storymoji is made by S View Studios. We built this app to be a daily creative habit — not a data business. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

What we collect

• Anonymous usage data. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collect aggregate, anonymous event data (screens viewed, errors, session length) to help us understand how the app is used and fix crashes. This data is not linked to your identity.
• Stories you submit. If you submit a story to the daily feed, it is stored on our Firebase servers and may be visible to other players. Stories are associated with an anonymous user ID generated on your device — not your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Votes and reports. Hearts you give and any content reports you submit are stored anonymously by the same user ID.
• Game Night room data. Temporary multiplayer room data (room name, player list, stories, scores) is stored in Firebase Realtime Database and deleted when the game ends.

What we do NOT collect

• Your name, email address, or Apple ID
• Your location
• Your contacts or camera
• Any payment information (the app is free)
• Any data for advertising or tracking purposes

Third-party services

Storymoji uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Data retention

Submitted stories remain in the feed indefinitely unless you request deletion or they are removed for community guideline violations. Anonymous analytics data is retained per Firebase's standard retention periods. Multiplayer room data is deleted automatically when a game session ends.

Children

Storymoji is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

Because stories and votes are stored by anonymous device ID rather than personal information, we cannot reliably identify which data belongs to you without the device that generated it. If you wish to request deletion of your submitted content, please contact us from the device you used to play.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
