RoadPlay requests one permission: Local Network access. This lets the app discover other nearby phones running RoadPlay over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, so the two (or more) of you can play together — the same technology behind AirDrop. RoadPlay does not use your Wi-Fi network to reach the internet, and no internet connection is used or required at any point, whether or not one is available.
Anything RoadPlay keeps — your chosen display name, which games you've recently played, and whether you've already seen a given game's rules card — is stored locally on your device only. None of it is uploaded, synced to a server, or shared with us or anyone else. We don't operate a backend that receives this information, so we have no copy of it and no way to see it.
If you delete RoadPlay from your device, this data is deleted with it.
If you reach out through the form on our Support page, that message (and the email address you provide, if you provide one) is collected by Netlify Forms and sent to us for the sole purpose of replying to your request. It isn't used for anything else.
RoadPlay doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children, so there's nothing to disclose or protect beyond what's already described above.
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date above and post the new version at the same location. Given how little the app does with data, we don't expect this to change often.
